Sometimes dragons are drawn to bond people with personalities that are mirrors of their own and other times a dragon is attracted to someone who contrasts them. Fervefaci is an example of that latter case, for she is an unmitigated pessimist. She's often found in a doubting and unhappy sulk, and clings (metaphorically speaking) to Heulwen's cheer in an almost desperate attempt to feel better about things. If Heulwen's always so happy, then things can't really be as bad as Fervefaci thinks they are, right? |
