Gretchan is not all that outgoing; she tends to be rebellious and defiant of authority, and she dislikes taking orders from others, particularly men. She's not a serious misandrist, but she tends to distrust men and resents the largely male-dominated society of Pern. She is close with Bahdri, whom she met during their candidacy and bonded with due to a fight that broke out between the two in the barracks. Bahdri is one of the only people whom Gretchan trusts completely, and the two can often be found sparring somewhere in the Dragonry. |
