Back again.

Not much to say tonight, except that I got back from my Shuswap Lake vacation two days ago. I know I'm obsessed, but I painted one of my Neopets yesterday. I'm a fanatic but hey, everyone needs something to keep them satisfied when there's nothing else to do.

I have a lot to do on mysticalplace.com, including updating my adopted cyberpets and stuff. The kind of thing that you say is under construction in August and is finished finally in February - that kind of stuff. This post was one of the things on the unwritten 'to-do' list. :)

Computers are weird.

My computer stopped letting me drag and drop files the other day. Why, I don't know, but I tend to overthink things, so this is what happened. I checked all the System Preferences plus practically everything in Help Center, found nothing and logged out. Then I mistakenly shut down the computer. D'oh! So I started it up and everything was working. Sometimes that's all it takes, but I think it made me look a liiittle bit stupid, eh?

At least now I know what to do when that happens now. Though now it probably won't. :-)

By the way, this is a new smiley I invented. He's touching his tongue to his nose. p:

Life goes on.

I lost the password to my Neopets account last night. This is kind of funny:

First thought: ARRRGH NOOOOO! It's the end of the world!
Second thought: Well, I do have another account, with a painted pet, and I remember that password...
Third thought: What am I getting worked up over?

Life goes on, doesn't it? (Well, if it didn't we'd all be dead. So there.) Other than that, not much exciting happened today, except that I rode my bike for a while. I am currently relaxing by the computer, obviously, and I think I was more obsessed with Neopets last night than I am today. Funny how things work out, hm? (I was devastated when my favourite radio station changed a couple of months or so ago. But hence the title... life goes on.) :-)

The forgotten blog lives.

Whoops, talk about procrastinating. :\ Just posting because I really need to, and because I was going to post at the beginning of summer. Oops again. Well, there's not much to say, except that I've been drawing Neopets comics all day. I might make a page to put them on when Molly the procrastinator(in other words ME) gets around to scanning the images in.

Oh, and I found this neat little imood thing, that lets you get this little 'mood indicator' to stick on your website. Cute. :)

(A little later) Forgot to say that I passed all my exams AND my piano exams, way back when I still had school to worry about. :D Yay for me.

Molly's study tips for final exams.

Exams are taking over. Well, I'm half done it all, but still have two more and am determined to get a mark over 90 per cent so I'm studying more than blogging. I'm a straight-A student but when it comes to Social Studies, I'm not as good as I would like to be. It's tough to remember a thousand things about evil politics and government. Sure, studying can be fun, but only if you get a break to doodle in your binder or post a blog, like so. :)

My studying method is sure-fire for those who don't fall asleep as soon as their head hits the pillow. Get as comfortable as possible (i.e. get in your PJs and hop into bed.) Don't allow any interruptions - quiet is good, if you're disturbed you get really cheesed off... trust me. Tack a sign on your door or something. Anything to keep out your siblings or family.

Then, chew gum. It helps you focus, supposedly (but even if it doesn't, it's a good excuse to tell your teacher.) and read each passage of important information aloud. If you just flick over it with your eyes, you might miss something. Do it for a couple of hours or whatever, and it works. Really - try it!

I'd like to post more but I can't, because I have writer's block again. (Which is queer because I have done journal writing for what, half the school year? Bleh, summer is ruining my brain already and it's not even vacation yet.) Hehe, commenting in brackets is fun, kinda like my awful habit of being 'the peanut gallery' and commenting on EVERYTHING. Mwahaha. d:)

Some things never change. (Namely, homework.)

I've paused my homework to do this - hopefully I won't get caught in the act *mwa ha ha*. Come on, digging through nine foot tall pile of work to do should have rest breaks embedded in it, shouldn't it? Maybe I'm more of a computer geek than I've known myself to be... I like my technology. (Speaking of which, how did people SURVIVE without computers? Or TV? Or game consoles? Or... okay, I'm freaked out now. I'll stop.) I've got a bunch of exams, as I've already said, but that's the only thing I can think of to stick with the subject here. Ever heard of "blogger's block"? Hint hint, think writer's block. I may have a case of that today...

So I took the piano exam today, and to tell the truth, it wasn't the silent torture and tension that I expected it to be. The examiner was nice, I only made one mistake in my songs(shh, don't tell!) and I felt good when I'd pulled through it. How many more exams left to go? I'm aware of two, but there's more, no doubt. *sigh*

On the bright side, I'm off to camp this weekend, in tents. That, at least, gives me something to look forward to this week.

Monday - it really stinks.

Well, today I have piano lessons after school, which is only reminding me I have a piano exam on - Wednesday, I think. Either way, today stinks. Kinda ironic, I just bought a Nintendo GameCube yesterday and have been loving that all too much. Funny how you can get addicted to that stuff so quickly - well, the good side of that is, better TV than smoking or drugs. Even though the TV makes your eyes bug out of your head after a while. :)
I think I need more extra-curricular time, as far away from school as possible. I have exams there too, upcoming this week isn't really an exam but is just as bad: Social Studies unit final. Gleep. There's a science provincial next week, I think, somewhere after Wednesday. I'm not sure of the exact date but I know I need to memorize important information out of what, four units? Ahhhh!
Monday would look better if the sky was blue, at this point, it's just a dull cloudy grey, and I think I see a raindrop...

Ah, Friday night.

I'm supposed to be helping set up tomorrow's garage sale, but instead I'm playing Neopets and, well, being a geek. I don't really want to go outside, you step out there right now and you break into a sweat. Checking thermometer...

WHOA! 30 degrees Celsius... sure, my outdoor thermometer might be a bit screwed up, but even for a malfunctioning thermometer, that's crazy! Hard to believe that about a month ago, it was cold and snowy. I should consider moving to somewhere with less strange weather sometime... heh.

Too bad this has to be short, I'm apparently supposed to be 'busy' and my sister is being annoying at me. Later...

Bored at the computer.

What can I say? Social studies can get reaaaally boring if you've been at it for hours(or seemingly so).

I taught my dog how to "give me five" a couple of weeks ago, and he's so cute, he paws at your hand thinking there's food there. That's one way to teach your (not-so) old dog a new trick - food. May I mention that this dog will eat ANYTHING? Indigo, my purebred Whippet, has actually eaten chocolate(a puppy toxin) and not been fazed by it. On a better note... he likes carrots, apples, grapes, cucumbers, steak, eggs, and cherries. The cherries were funny - he stole one after we returned from the Blackfoot farmer's market and he blew it up, colouring himself purple in the process and needing a rather perseverent bath.

I have to finish my (bleh) homework now. Hopefully I'll get time to post s'more. (S'mores, fwee!)
